Bolton Refuge House-Buffalo County Outreach provides free and confidential services to anyone impacted by domestic and/or sexual violence. Services provided are aimed at assisting those impacted to understand the various dynamics surrounding domestic violence and/or sexual assault so that they can feel empowered to plan a path to heal from their experience. BRBCO works with individuals to meet them where they’re at in their journey and help them recognize what their individual needs are.
We provide advocacy services that are unique to that individual, which may include assistance in filing a restraining order, navigating the legal system, safety planning, supportive listening and/or other information and referrals to area resources that provide assistance with other needs such as employment, education, transportation, child care, food, and permanent housing.
BRBCO holds community events and awareness activities throughout the year and conducts various presentations throughout the community as a reminder that Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault is community issue. It is also a way for us to reach out to those who have yet to come forward; to let them know that help is available and that everyone has a right to feel safe-all the time.
